Hanging in here. Going nowhere. Don't worry
about me.
- Here goes.
Like I know what is going on? (Right!!)
Life is sacred George, that is right.
I agree with George.. Embryo's should not and
need not be destroyed. 'Liberal' people might want to begin to
readjust there thinking on this subject. I don't think we are
very awake. Why be tools for corporate dehumanization? Can't we
see that we end up destroying everything on Earth in our
attempts at some vague notion of progress. Check out how they
want to get you on the 'Compassion' concept. Haven't you noticed
the corporate connections. Of course we are all compassionate
people no wants another person to suffer, it's just this legacy,
this precedent we. might be establishing. We graying (yes I am
55 and still very young and punk like) and yes 22 year old women
look just fine to me. We middle-aged and older people, faced
with myriad disease options, might just say 'I'll grow old with
my diseases and take them with me to my grave' rather than begin
some corporate or bureaucratic entity being in charge of stored
human embryos ready to serve future generations.
I disagree that the dreams of healing future
generations have a higher priority than respecting Life in the
present. Nature's bounty is huge. We live in an incredibly toxic
civilization that barely has a clue as to what's real and what's
not.
Abortion: Not an option.
What if it wasn't .. but not based on your
fear of the law but of your love of Life.
Prisons in California.
Dangerous fraud perpetrated by the
'Correction' lobby. 53,000 new beds needed? 7 Billion Dollars
for this outrage? What is it 40% of all inmates are doing time
for non-violent crimes? Parole sweeps regularly, twice
weekly in Oakland ..crack downs on parolees sent back to prison
(san Quentin) for indefinite sentences for crimes such as being
out past curfew. One gentleman who was released after
(longer than a month) for 'absconding' as he was told. 'Just
living at home with my wife and kid 'forgot' to contact a parole
officer. Back in prison. Not just any prison San Quentin. The
dungeon that sits in the richest county in California (? maybe
the richest.. just about). 'You don't want to know how filthy
that place is.' Novovirus the potentially fatal disease that
sent guards and inmates the local hospital this past winter is
caused by contact to Rat droppings. Get the men who do not
belong in Prisons out of prisons. Half way houses would be
great. Sentence people to an honest job.
'Bong Hits for Jesus'
Supreme Court well just when you want to jump on
them for being completely disrespectful to the freedom of speech
of America's finest.. our teenagers. ( You gotta believe!)
Life is complicated and any matter that comes up before the
Supreme Court are supremely difficult.
OK the kid unfurled a fourteen foot banner at a
school function, a function organized outside of school but as a
school event. The motive... to be cool... to be funny to do a
lot of stuff that a very bold-spirited teenager might choose to
do. To provoke a reaction from those in authority. So he did
provoke a reaction and got suspended for 30 days by the school superintendent.
Seems to me to be legitimate that he got suspended, pretty
trivial overall but hey if you are part of the school function
you behave or meet some consequences..
However for the supreme court to say that no teenager has the
right to publicly comment on our drug laws in away that might be
construed as advocating drug use.
A Natural High is a pretty bold move.
