The destruction of our Earth in the name of Progress. Marin County like the rest of the Planet seems not to have a clue. 122 mature Pine Trees a beautiful screen of CO2 and exhaust particulate blocking and absorbing Nature. Well the highway is way overcrowded and very dangerous at that exit so an expansion of the exit lanes may benefit many drivers.   The backup in the morning at around 8:00 AM extends to the bottom of the Corte Madera Hill will even two lanes make it safe for anyone coming over the crest of the Horse Hill grade. I doubt it you still have to move that traffic onto Blithedale.  The crime of it is is that we need to reverse the effects of Global Warming now every Community and every State and every Nation needs to be working on the road to Global Cooling. Now is as far as we ever need to go in the USA as far as the deforestation of the Earth goes why can't we be the leader of the Planet as far as providing a safe and secure future for our children. This widening of highways across America while developers run free in cahoots with timid or bribed elected officials (legal bribes) campaign contributions must come to an end. It is pointless to widen highways and keep building homes everywhere.  Every community in our Country needs to shoot for a 40% cutback of the Human footprint and replace it with a canopy of Trees and the free growing fields and a local agriculture. Entirely possible, entirely beneficial absolutely needed. 40% is not impossible, look at the wasted landscape of asphalt and parking spaces throughout the urban/suburban landscape. We have to Believe it is possible we have to begin to make it happen on this beautiful Earth. Every day of our lives whether we are going through joy or pain or boredom or whatever state of our Human Condition it is always another day of Incredible beauty in this amazing Planet Earth. It is worth living for and working for and I am going to say that again just for me.... Living for and Working for the Planet Earth.  What you say 122 Pine Trees is not a Forest? Where does the Forest end or the Forest begin on this Planet? To me every tree is part of the Planet's Forest. Every Tree. Yes I understand that trees must be cut at times. Any time a tree is cut to make room for more Pavement or Asphalt to me is a crime against future generations and our own lives.         Guy W.
