The Tom Finch Group w/Jose Neto August 28 in Creek
Park
That was just a very fine
show. A great turn-out... A great Band!
Hat's off to Tom Finch
who has absolutely arrived as a Rock Guitarist on this Planet no not a
Jeff Beck
nor a Satriani but here as himself just a marvelous
mastery of the instrument a great show.
at Left Jose Neto who sat in from beginning to
end not only providing his fiery lead but also a very tasteful and
inventive rhythm presence.
Marc Smith on drums who has become
transformed by his being part of the band my impression is that he is
in
very strong drumming shape.. crisp and aggressive
but coming from his Jazz background always cool understated.
JJ playing more on rhythm guitar
lately JJ orignally showing up at Tom's gigs as more of a hip hop
love& peace
rapper.. JJ brings a little funky edge to Tom's
shows with the edge of Fun..ky.
Rob Fordyce... nuff said. The man. Their is
only one Rob Fordyce. Delightful.
Guest appearances Mika Scott percussion..
bringing it.
Bodhi on flute great player telling me about RhythmMatrix his band must
check them out.
Donna Eagle the hippie chick with attitude and big spirit .. nice
channeling even if I didn't here
all the words somehow.. the message came through.
Nice to see a female dancer on stage.
KUNDALINI
BOOMBOX
Kit Walker, Celso Alberti and Robert Powell
Very exciting very intriguing definitely worthwhile to find these guys
wherever they play
and do likewise. As Kit said to me his idea
of a great place to play is a big hall where you got lights
all over and no one even knows where the band is
they are just playing and every body is just in
one of those music trances.. you ever been there?
Sounds
like 1960s SF flower power...
... once I had a glass of red wine... swear to God nothing was in it just
a glass of red wine..
... trance dancing is that wild or what?! Amazing.. had a good time
that night.
Oh yeah had a good time Sunday too but ... heck I can't deny it I was sort
of tired and stressed
underneath my bold tie dyed shirt it really
wasn't til near the end of the show that the power of great Rock
finally woke me. Woke me? Woke? funny word..its
not a Joke its a woke.. hmm .. I woke from my day of
mental slumber to utter one demented yell into
the MIC after the last tune the band played you can hear for yourself
on this MP3 awesome music folks pause to take a
sip of from your psychic glass or Red Wine put your
headphones on so you can get into this turn up
the volume... the first guitar solo is Jose Neto the second
guitar solo is Tom Finch.. the last is the Bass
Guitar of Rob Fordyce..
The tune written by Stevie Wonder performed by Jeff Beck and performed on
Sunday by
Tom Finch Group...
'Cause We Ended as Lovers.
I am working on
the Video currently I think the video maybe has even better audio than the
soundboard recording
you are listening to above.
